A Woman of Noble Wit: The birth of a novel

Visitors will be welcome to join the regular members of the Exeter Forum at this talk, at a cost of £3 per person, payable on the day.

Rosemary Griggs is making two appearances in Exeter on Wednesday 3rd November in partnership with ExeLitFest. In this first one, for Exeter Forum, she’ll be talking about her recently-published novel, A Woman of Noble Wit. She will explain how her interest in Devon’s sixteenth century history and in historical clothing led to research into the life of a fascinating Devon woman, and ultimately to writing her novel.

Rosemary Griggs writes historical novels based on the sixteenth century, inspired by women who have to balance duty and love in turbulent times. She makes her own historical clothing which she wears for her talks. Rosemary has discovered many fascinating stories in her research and as a volunteer with the National Trust; and she makes regular appearances as a history interpreter.
