25 Apr Cancellation of Festival
The Exeter Literary Festival will not take place in its original form in October 2020.
The decision to cancel the festival has come from looking at the continuing coronavirus situation alongside the government guidance for events of this nature. We are sorry to say that the Festival as we have known it cannot go ahead this year. There is just too much uncertainty to proceed with the detailed planning required for an event of this nature.
The Short Story Competition that has been a popular part of the festival is going ahead, restricted to online entries only. It is open now, and you can find all the details here.
The Organisers will be looking at options that will allow us to continue without the physical festival and we will maintain an online presence both from our website and our social media accounts. We look forward to sharing more about writing and literature from in and around Exeter over the coming months and seeing you all again soon.
