The ExeLitFest Haiku Slam is the poetry slam with a difference – poets only have three lines to impress! Anyone can join. Just turn up with your own haiku poem and sign up on the evening for the chance to win the audience choice award and/or the judges’ prize, sponsored by Exeter College. The slam consists of two rounds – one prepared, and one in response to the judges’ prompts. There will also be a showcase of some of the city’s top spoken word performers. Entry on the door is £5 for audience members and £2.50 for slam participants. No advance booking.
